Austin Smith, PhD, CSCS, RSCC, is a sport scientist and strength and conditioning professional specializing in performance monitoring, data‑driven training, and elite athlete development. He holds a doctorate in sport physiology and performance from East Tennessee State University. He currently serves as head of sport science and assistant director of sport performance for the University of Tennessee Olympic sports program. Smith has also worked in high‑performance roles with the Chicago Cubs and USA Bobsled & Skeleton. His expertise includes athlete monitoring systems, applied biomechanics, load management, and long‑term athletic development. He is an experienced researcher, presenter, and educator with contributions to peer‑reviewed journals and national conferences.
