Zachary A. Mang, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate for the wellness program at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where he specializes in strength and conditioning for structural firefighters. A doctoral student under Len Kravitz, PhD, CSCS, his research interests include resistance training for hypertrophy, oxidative adaptations to resistance training, and the use of resistance training as a frontline defense to prevent chronic disease. He has written over 30 publications in exercise physiology articles for IDEA, American Council on Exercise (ACE), and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and presented at many conferences, including IDEA World and NSCA.
