Description

Bodyweight Interval Training provides evidence-based strategies for implementing interval training that requires no equipment. Presenter Gabriella Bellissimo discusses the types of clients who will benefit from bodyweight interval training (BWIT) and explains exercises and protocols you can use to design effective workouts for clients of all experience levels. Video demonstrations of exercises help you understand how to perform the sample exercises effectively, and additional suggestions and sample workouts for beginner, intermediate, and advanced will prepare you to put them into practice right away.

About the Presenter

  • Gabriella Bellissimo

    Gabriella Bellissimo, PhD, ACSM-CEP, ACSM-CPT, earned her doctorate in exercise physiology from the University of New Mexico, studying under the direction of respected fitness researchers Len Kravitz, PhD, CSCS, and Ann Gibson, PhD, FACSM. Bellissimo has experience as a lecturer, an exercise physiologist focusing on cardiac rehab and weight loss clinics, a personal trainer, and a group fitness instructor. Her research and teaching interests include physiological and clinical exercise testing, strength and conditioning, and physical activity monitoring.
