High-Intensity Functional Training introduces high-intensity functional training (HIFT), a dynamic style of training in which multijoint exercises that mimic everyday actions are combined with aerobic and resistance training elements. Jessica Smith describes the benefits of this training and its suitability for a wide range of clients, with guidance for scaling training for all abilities. With evidence-based strategies for implementing this style of training, plus practical exercises and workouts for use with clients, this presentation will help professionals create varied workouts that appeal to clients who crave results but don’t want to perform traditional strength or cardio workouts.
